We are pleased to share that our new website is now live! Our updated online home has been redesigned to better reflect our work across the county and to act as a platform that champions the dedication and hard work of community food projects across Gloucestershire.
At Feeding Gloucestershire, we believe that by working together we can build a county where everyone has fair access to affordable, nutritious food. This new site makes it easier to connect, share resources, and amplify the voices of people working toward a fairer food system.
The Food Ladder, Community Food Map and more
We want our website to be a practical, accessible tool for organisations and individuals alike. Alongside information about our projects and partnerships, you’ll find resources for organisations, guidance about accessing support, and opportunities for people, businesses and communities to get involved.
You will also find a strong focus on two of our key frameworks for local system change:
- The Food Ladder: We are committed to supporting communities to shift away from a long-term reliance on emergency food aid. The new website outlines our focus on the ‘Food Ladder’, a framework that guides the development of preventative, dignified, and sustainable food solutions, such as community pantries and cooperative growing projects, that give people real choice over what they eat.
- The Gloucestershire Community Food Map: Finding local food support should be simple. Our online Food Map brings together foodbanks, community meals, pantries, and local growing projects from every district into one easy-to-use directory. It ensures support is easy to find for those who need it most, whilst giving a clear picture of our county’s food support system.
We Want to Share Your Story – Get in Touch!
Our role is to listen, connect, and support the organisations and communities tackling food insecurity on the ground. This is why a key feature of our new website is a growing collection of engaging case studies that tell the stories and future plans of food organisations across Gloucestershire.
These stories highlight the wide range of food-related work happening locally, and the positive impacts they have on communities, from improving health and wellbeing, to strengthening financial resilience. Read the stories here.
We’ll continue to update the website as new projects and partnerships develop, so if there’s something you’d like to see included, or a story or project you’d like to share, we’d love to feature it. Drop us an email at info@feedinggloucestershire.org.uk.
