We've launched our brand-new website! Explore the Food Ladder, Gloucestershire Community Food Map, practical resources, and inspiring case studies from across the county.

We're inviting food banks, pantries, and affordable food projects to take part in a countywide research project. Find out more about the research and how to get involved.

Together with the Gloucestershire VCSE Alliance and the Gloucestershire Food and Farming Partnership, we brought together partners from across the county to explore shared challenges and opportunities for a more resilient and fairer local food system.

Feeding Gloucestershire has launched a new online Community Food Map, bringing together food support organisations from across the county in one accessible directory. Developed with community partners, the map makes support easier to find and gives a clear picture of Gloucestershire’s food support system.

In late 2025, Feeding Gloucestershire collaborated with Healthwatch Gloucestershire to deliver the Winter Homelessness Support Fund, helping local charities provide essential meals and support to people experiencing homelessness during the coldest months. We are thrilled to share the impact of the grants awarded.

Feeding Gloucestershire, in collaboration with Healthwatch Gloucestershire, is pleased to announce the two successful projects awarded funding through the Homelessness Support Small Grant Fund. These community projects will help people experiencing homelessness and food insecurity across Gloucestershire this winter.

We’re delighted to welcome Rebecca Hollely, our new Project Officer who joins the core team, and Kelly Osborne, who joins our Trustee Board. They bring a broad range of knowledge and expertise to help deliver the Feeding Gloucestershire vision – where everyone can afford to eat well and live healthily.

We’re excited to announce the relaunch of the Feeding Gloucestershire Newsletter – a bi-monthly update packed with news, insights, and opportunities from across the county. Each issue shares information about food poverty, healthy diets, food education, and community food projects in Gloucestershire.

To help increase awareness of the Healthy Start Scheme, Feeding Gloucestershire awarded microgrants to all six districts. This funding supports the promotion of Healthy Start through locally tailored communication materials, helping more eligible families access financial support for healthy food.

Feeding Gloucestershire joined partners from across the UK at Feeding Britain’s Summer Parliamentary Reception in the House of Lords. The event highlighted the growing impact of Affordable Food Clubs and showcased innovative approaches helping communities build long-term food resilience.

We sponsored Project Grow’s interactive installation ‘Food For Thought’ at the 2025 Cheltenham Science Festival. The exhibit encouraged visitors to explore local food systems, consider where food comes from, and imagine a healthier, more sustainable future for Gloucestershire.

We are extremely pleased to announce that Feeding Gloucestershire is now registered as a Charitable Incorporated Organisation (CIO). This important milestone strengthens our governance and supports our vision of creating a Gloucestershire where everyone can enjoy good food and no one goes hungry.

We highlight a range of grant opportunities available to charities and community organisations in Gloucestershire, helping local groups secure the vital funding needed to support their food initiatives.

In November 2023, Gloucestershire was awarded the Sustainable Food Places Bronze Award.

Feeding Gloucestershire is moving from a membership model to a more open network and creating a new countywide directory and map to showcase organisations, businesses, and projects working across the local food system.

Feeding Gloucestershire is working with Sustainable Food Places Gloucestershire to develop the GREAT Food Gloucestershire campaign. This will celebrate local food, highlight good practice, and encourage residents and organisations to engage with a healthier and more sustainable food system.

Feeding Britain and Feeding Gloucestershire partnered to provide one-off winter grants to affordable food clubs and pantries across the county. This funding helped organisations respond to increased demand over winter by purchasing food, equipment, and other essential items.

Working with IFAN and the Trussell Trust, Feeding Gloucestershire helped roll out district-specific Worrying About Money leaflets. The resources promote a cash-first approach by signposting people to advice, financial support, and income maximisation services before they turn to emergency food aid.
