A call out to local foodbanks, pantries, and community cafés to share your plans over the festive period.
Christmas can be a wonderful time of year, but for many people across Gloucestershire, it can also bring extra pressure and worry.
Whether you run a local foodbank, stock a community pantry, host a weekly community café, or run any other kind of food support project in the county, we want to make sure local residents and professionals know what help is available this December.
To help us do this, we are putting together a guide so that people can easily find out where is open, what special festive activities are happening (like Christmas lunches or hamper schemes), and any changes to your usual opening hours over Christmas and the New Year.
How you can help
Please take a few minutes to complete our survey and share your plans for your community. We want to hear about:
• Any special Christmas meals, parcels, vouchers, or family holiday support you are planning.
• Any changes to your usual opening hours, or any closures, between Monday 21 December 2026 and Friday 1 January 2027.
The deadline to submit your details is Monday 9th November, so we can bring everything together and share the details in time for people to plan and find the support they need.
Thank you so much for everything you do for our communities all year round, and especially during the festive period.
