We would like to invite community organisations who offer food provision to come along, share challenges and hear local and national examples of good practice. This will be of interest to organisations who offer outreach foodbank sessions, food hubs, distribution of surplus food and different pantry models or anyone who feels that their community needs support to access better, affordable food.
This event will be the start of forming a balanced and effective working relationship where we can bring together strategic and policy priorities with practical community delivery and knowledge. Once we have held this first event and established a workplan we will look to expand our focus to look at what can be done to enhance a ‘good food economy’ in Stroud District and run future face to face events.
All this work is open and collaborative, and we welcome all stakeholders – individual, political, organisational – to work together, this is not a standalone piece of work.
